The Wellness on Wheels hub was was designed by Jooley Tonelli and built by Fibonacci Builders in 2019. Jooley first began running a massage business in 2011 and has been a mobile massage therapist in Portland, OR since 2014. She has always loved helping people while she's also enjoyed the rewards and challenges of managing business practices.
The WoW Hub was launched in February of 2020 with the intention of traveling to large events throughout the year. This was an interesting year to begin promoting a new business as the future held different plans for us. Early in the onset of pandemic regulations, all massage practice was ordered to shut down for an unknown amount of time.
Although this news was discouraging, it was also inspiring! Unusual times call for creative minds, so adjustments to the original ideas had to be made. Jooley soon realized the 'large events' were people congregating at food cart lots! That great realization sparked a pivot in the plans; so the new mobile wellness center was now headed a different direction.
In the summer of 2020, after massage practices resumed business, Wellness on Wheels, aka The WoW Hub was delivered and stationed in the Multnomah Village French Quarter. With the established location of this food cart lot, with Jooley's experience as a self employed massage therapist and her loyal clientele base, she was able to keep the business moving forward. Now with the help of other practitioners who share the space of this tiny home during different hours, Wellness On Wheels has been successful in expansion. You can help us grow by booking an appointment or simply stop by to check it out sometime and tell your friends!
The Licensed Massage Therapists of Wellness on Wheels understand the concerns of receiving massage during these unpredictable times. To ensure our practice is safe as possible for our clients, we follow CDC guidelines. Both client and therapist keep faces covered throughout the time spent in the same room and all common surfaces are sanitized between appointments.
In light of the unique set up of The WoW Hub, know that there is only one room and only one therapist and one client that takes space in the room at a time. With limited people inside this place of business, potential exposure to any virus is dramatically reduced compared to other massage locations with more than one room and many therapists. Inside the unit, clients have access to a private restroom and a sink for hand washing, so you do not need to use the public facilities.
In the event that a client is uncomfortable being indoors with the therapist due to COVID-19 concerns, we can schedule an appointment outdoors in a massage chair or in the comfort of your own home. We hope for you to continue receiving the rewards of taking care of your body, mind and spirit through stress reduction and relaxation services. As wellness practitioners, we prioritize your health needs for a higher quality of life, including peace of mind.
